Data Engineer
Location: New York, NY or London, UK

Role:
 Design and development of the data life cycle, raw data, cleansing, cataloging, distribution

Requirements:
 A fanatical attention to detail
 Evidence of stuctured critical thinking (eg. Masters in a Quantitative / STEM field)
 Experience with market data including trade flags, complex order books and multi-leg trades
 Experience with a structured programming language (eg. Python, Java, C++)
 Experience with optimised data storage and distribution

 Research and develop algorithms and models using mathematics, data science and other quantitative techniques

Requirements:

 Proven research, mathematical and programming achievement, or a Masters / PhD in a computer science, statistics, physics or similar STEM field

 Experience with one or more financial markets, ideally across varying holding periods

 Maintain, enhance and upgrade our network infrastructure, including on-call and after-hours as required

Requirements:

 Proven experience administering, deploying and supporting network infrastructure and protocols (TCP, DNS, routers, switches, firewalls, cross-connects)
 Proactive mindset with a track record of mitigating risks before they become issues
 Experience troubleshooting across Linux and Windows and ideally automation scripting
 Ideally formal qualifications (network security, management, optimisation etc) which demonstrate a lifetime interest in learning

Role:

 Proven experience administering, deploying and supporting systems infrastructure and protocols (TCP, DNS, filesystems, drivers, email and web servers) across Linux and Windows
 Proactive mindset with a track record of mitigating risks before they become issues
 Proven experience with automation and scripting, deployments, troubleshooting, evergreening and system security
 Strong communication skills with a high degree of interest in industry developments and best practice
 Ideally formal qualifications (environment management, cloud services, security etc) which demonstrate a lifetime interest in learning
